Before a single note was played, we paused to honor the people shaping our community in meaningful ways. Founder of A Tribe for Jazz, Bruce Halliburton, Executive Director, Stephanie Matthews, alongside leaders we admire, recognized changemakers Joy Walker, Patti Carey, Erica Dodson, and Bat-Ami Moses whose impact continues to move this work forward.

Then the trio took the stage.

Linda May Han Oh, alongside Fabian Almazan and Mark Whitfield Jr., delivered a set that felt both intentional and alive. Music from past projects, new sounds, and moments of improvisation that brought the audience into the experience.

You could feel the connection in the room. People were fully engaged. And as the afternoon came to a close, that energy carried with them as they left.

Thank you to the Columbus Museum of Art for partnering with us and hosting this experience. Thank you to Linda May Han Oh, Fabian Almazan, and Mark Whitfield, Jr. — and thank you to everyone who showed up to be part of it.
