A New Cultural Collaboration: A Tribe for Jazz x Hale Cultural Center at Ohio State
A Tribe for Jazz is proud to announce a new partnership with the Frank W. Hale Cultural Center at The Ohio State University—an exciting step forward in deepening our commitment to culture, community, and creative expression. This collaboration creates new opportunities to amplify jazz as a living art form while honoring its roots and relevance within Black cultural history.
Together, we will activate spaces that bring artists, students, and the broader community into meaningful connection through performances, conversations, and educational programming. The Hale Center’s legacy as a hub for cultural engagement makes it a natural home for this work, and we’re energized by what we can build together.
Our first collaboration kicks off with an Artist Talk featuring acclaimed trumpeter Milena Casado on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Join us for a reception at 5:30 PM, followed by the talk at 6:00 PM. This event is free and open to the public with registration: https://osu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8IJZkdLbm0pKwRw
This partnership isn’t just about events—it’s about creating a sustained ecosystem where jazz thrives, stories are shared, and community is centered.
